Financial Controller

For our client based in Rotterdam we are searching for a Financial Controller for 36-40 hours/week. You'll be joining a dynamic finance team at the heart of a high-growth company operating in international logistics.

As a Financial Controller, you will support monthly and annual financial closings, contribute to detailed reporting and forecasting, and help streamline finance processes. Reporting to either the Senior Financial Controller or Finance Director (based on experience), you’ll work cross-functionally with business control, payables, and receivables teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to monthly and annual closing processes;
• Prepare and support financial reporting and variance analyses;
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable cycles;
• Assist with budget preparation and forecast tracking;
• Identify and help resolve inefficiencies in financial workflows;
• Support internal and external audits;
• Act as a financial sounding board across departments.

Your Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting (HBO equivalent);
• 2–5 years of experience in a finance or accounting function;
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems;
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking;
• Effective communicator in both Dutch and English;
• Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced (scale-up) environment;
• Team-oriented and proactive mindset;
• Experience in international logistics or supply chain operations is nice to have.
